My favorite podcast is the Rich Roll podcast. Roll published a conversation with Dr. Lisa Miller speaking on the idea of The Awakened Brain. Dr. Miller provides evidence spirituality is a new field of study. I have chosen to accept this idea. Our brains gather information and are flexed when we express our spirituality. We can appreciate the new studies scientists have chosen to publish about the practical ways people express our spiritual nature. These studies can promote relationships, connections, and emotions and we gather how we see them as spiritual. We can expand our thinking to make space for this new study of neuroscience and this podcast engages with stories people have around the awakened brain.

“ We don’t make our way in life, we discover it.” Dr. Lisa Miller

How do we discover our awakened brain, and can we use it to benefit our lives?

I am a big reader of self-improvement and people’s stories around the topic. I get criticized for all the nonfiction material I consume. Reading fiction or nonfiction can benefit our discovery. People’s stories give examples of how people have chosen to live and to benefit their lives. Listening to the world around you can awaken our presence in the world. Prayer can enhance your belief.

I learn more about the world every day, and I am a visitor. There are obstacles that get in the way and obstruct how you maneuver through life. Expanding your family, moving away, graduating, or staying in the same city you were born in; people tend to be complacent with how to come to terms with challenges and how they talk about them.

Social interaction and growing your relationships are hard. It demands your time and emotions. Challenges like this are used to grow our mental state and perceive our surroundings in a new and fresh way. I see how people are taken from highs to lows all too much and how simple conversation can change our perception for the better.
